Mobile First Design: Progressive Enhancement Technique

Mobile First Design seeks to train designers to take more of mobile users where websites are concerned. Traditionally graceful degradation was the methodology applied when it came to web design. In Mobile first design however, a methodology known as progressive enhancement is put forward. A majority of the population in today's world actively interacts with mobile technologies for a majority of their interactions and through the aforementioned techniques a designer is able to make their user interactions/experience more friendly for the populous.
The interface designed here is for a television streaming service which would allow its users to subscribe and view their local channels in the African market. With this in mind the color scheme there in applied follows the vibrancy that comes with being inherently African. The placeholder imagery applied is drawn from the series Game of Thrones and the movie Frozen.
As is with the Progressive enhancement technique once the smallest device user has been taken care of then the next device in size follows where tablet devices are now taken care of.
Finally the desktop/PCs are designed for at the end. Additional functionalities may be provided as a part of the interface since there is more space to design for where desktop screens come into play.
It is for the utmost importance to note that the name and branding applied here are for a potential Ghanaian streaming service which links to the notions highlighted regarding the correlation to Africa and African color schemes attached to the Ghanaian market identified through extensive research. For more on this research a DESIGN REPORT detailing the entire design process is available.
